TRAVEL
Come with us to Bolivia, the poorest country in South America and one of the most beautiful. You will get to know our Bolivian friends, feast on the soups and other traditional dishes, and visit a village in the magnificent Andes.

We are offering a unique travel opportunity.  So often we visit another country and leave without really knowing the people or culture.

Our Volunteer in Mission trips give participants a much richer experience.

We will gather at LaGuardia on Friday the 19th of June, arriving at our destination the following day. We will be met at the Cochambamba airport and taken to our quarters in the guest house of the Methodist School.  While there we will be well fed and lovingly cared for by dear friends.

We will work, play and pray with Bolivian Methodists

We will visit a co-op where Alpaca sweaters are sold. We will spend a day visiting a village in the Andes where we will be welcomed into the homes of the people. The Andes are truly spectacular! It is an experience you will never forget.

SERVE
Perhaps you will help build or improve a day care center in one of the Methodist churches in Cochabamba.  Maybe work with children in a Vacation Bible School or share crafts, games and laughs with outreach-program staff on retreat.

While we are in Bolivia we have so many different activities that there is a place for everyone.

The traditional Volunteer In Mission activity is construction and we have worked on new church buildings, daycare centers etc. Even under the construction umbrella there are always jobs for people from expert to novice.

We also have provided Vacation Bible School. Many of us speak almost no Spanish but our Bolivian co-teachers translate and of course smiles and hugs need no translation.

We have spent evenings with outreach-program staff on training retreat. After a hard days work they welcome us with our crafts, games and music.

Whatever we are doing we work together and even those of us with truly inept Spanish share fun and laughs with our friends. What a joyful experience!

REJOICE!!!
During and on return from Bolivia you will be happy but even more; your heart will be filled with joy!

When we go on a vacation it is usually a happy time. We return home, back to the mountains of mail, and it becomes hard to reclaim that happiness.

When we go on a mission trip something else happens. Our hearts and spirits are filled with joy—a joy that warms us whenever we remember the experience! Why is there such a difference?

As we carry out our part in the mission, we are not ever working alone.  WE WORK SIDE BY SIDE WITH OUR BOLIVIAN FAMILY.

Day by day, working together, we begin to understand that, as we are helping to change the lives of those we think we have come to help, we are all one and our Bolivian friends are helping to change our lives. Not sure you believe that? IT IS TRUE and we have many who will gladly share their stories with you.
